Lukuma®, belongs to the Sapotaceae family and it is native of the Andes Valleys of Peru. This fruit was found in different pre-Inca cultures ceramics and fabrics, being one of the favorite´s fruits of the Inca. It has a unique flavour and its fruit is quite dry with a yelow-orange colour and a unique pleasant aroma. This is a very nutritive fruit which contains considerable amounts of fiber, vitamins and minerals. Lukuma® powder is made from select fruit with no additives ,artificial flavours, or colours added.
